AFAC Annual Reports : 2011 Annual Report
<< AFAC and the Bushfire CRC are working together to encourage and support the use of Professional Development Events as a mechanism to utilise research in agencies. Engagement and active involvement are seen as critical to the success of utilising research as this allows people to form their own understanding of what the research might mean to their own context. Pictured left are participants in a Fuel and Fire Clinic held in the Victorian Mallee region. “Events delivered included forums, seminars, workshops, clinics and master classes, and they have provided opportunities for people to come together to share knowledge and thinking and to facilitate the creation of a knowledge transfer approach across the industry.” 11
